Baptist Health Innovations has opened applications for its health tech accelerator.

The 10-month program, designed for entrepreneurs and innovators interested in healthcare technology and development, provides professional development opportunities, team-based projects designed to build innovator skills and networks to develop new products, services and interventions, according to a June 30 press release.

The program is funded by a $1 million grant from the Knight Foundation and another $1 million in matching funds from community philanthropists raised through the Baptist Health Foundation.

“This fellowship is a segue into the future of healthcare with a cohort of leaders at the forefront of new product, service and healthcare innovation,” said Barry Katzen, MD, chief medical innovation officer of Baptist Health Innovations. “The fellowship grants the opportunity and access to ideate and develop ideas in an educational setting among professionals both on the clinical and business side of healthcare.”

Applications are open until Aug. 5.
